Domio started the way most society software should: with a treasurer's laptop, an Excel sheet with 214 rows, and a WhatsApp group where nothing could be found. We built the thing we wished the committee had.
Money is the society's
We never hold it, route it, or take a percentage of it. Your gateway, your bank. A bill is paid when the bank says so, not when somebody says so.
Residents come first
If residents do not open the app, nothing else matters. So the app is quick, quiet, and does the three things they care about without a tutorial.
No lock-in, on principle
Your data exports in a click and is deleted thirty days after you leave. We would rather keep you by being good than by being difficult.
Made in India
For Indian societies, specifically.
UPI, not just cards. Sub-meters, because half the country's flats have them. Hindi and English side by side. Guards with feature phones and committees with WhatsApp. It is not a global product with a rupee sign bolted on.
